Celebrated Americana/folk duo The Lowest Pair have released the stunning “Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be”, their first studio album in six years. Produced by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, Neko Case), the record finds Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee (aka The Lowest Pair) expanding their sonic palette without losing the captivating minimalism that has defined their sound.

Over the last dozen years together, they’ve become some of modern roots music’s most mesmerizing, thoughtful purveyors. This 10-track album puts the duo’s stark lyricism, string-driven arrangements, and raw compatibility on brilliant display and as a result, “Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be” pulses with life.

“Winter and Lee’s sharp lyricism, rich string work, and seamless interplay shine throughout the album.” – Grateful Web

“The most addictive thing is their unique vocals, how they both jibe and (in a good way) jar, Winter somehow sounding like a young Exene and even younger Dolly Parton.” – MOJO

“These are iconic voices; they are both are so sonically interesting.” – NPR Music

“The new record is steady and confident. It sounds like both a journey and its end point, and in finding peace within turbulent seas.” – PopMatters

“Thoughtful folk-wisdom underpinned by exceptional string work and sweet vocal harmonies, delivered with arresting emotional intensity.” – Americana UK
