Company Retreat

Company Retreat is an American punk rock band that combines profound philosophical lyrics with pounding rhythms, ripping riffs, soaring harmonies and vacation vibes. Their songs sound like Bad Religion and Hot Water Music made a baby that was raised on George Carlin and daiquiris. The members have been making music together for more than 20 years and performed all over the world. They debuted as Company Retreat in 2017, headlining the final show at Club Mustache – a beloved DIY venue in Kansas City they helped pioneer in 2008. Their inaugural 14-song album was met with excitement from every listener, earning them an immediate reputation as the band of choice among touring acts in need of support. Company Retreat has since released 2 EP’s and shared the stage with a plethora of icons including Dead Boys, Iron Chic, The Lillingtons, Smoking Popes and more. Their shows are always a party, attracting all ilks of people who lovingly coalesce in hedonism and humanitarianism. Activists and nihilists alike will find joy in their latest effort, a 12-song album titled Hidden Curriculum, released on September 26th, 2023. Hidden Curriculum is by far the band’s best work yet, and beneath a layer of irreverent sarcasm, it delivers a message of unity and positivity for all generations. https://companyretreat.bandcamp.com/   Tightwire (acoustic set) – pop punk / punk rock from Minneapolis, MN https://tightwirempls.bandcamp.com/   Blondo – pop punk from Omaha https://blondostreet.bandcamp.com   The Shidiots – punk / rock from Omaha, NE https://theshidiots.bandcamp.com/   On Hiatus – pop punk / punk / alternative from Des Moines https://onhiatusband.bandcamp.com/

Leafblower

Leafblower’s the band and Tim’s the mascot. A master leaf blower, blowing fog all over your good times, with leafblower the band as the soundtrack: four dudes in jumpsuit uniforms. Think Kraftwerk meets yard work, plus Busch Light, with noise guitars instead of synths. It’s dissonant stuff, reverb fed through tin cans and amplified. Take the roughest looking dudes in your neighborhood (shovel man from home alone but drunker, with unlimited gasoline). And there’s four of them. Those poor kids inadvertently seeing leafblower descend into their practice space are going to need major psychiatric work to undo their deep-seated fears of all things lawn associated. And that’s without even hearing the music. Leafblower is loud. It is an experience. Listening to them is like holding an industrial leaf blower, 64cc and gas powered. The ones that strap to your back. Pulling that starting rope, jumpsuit on. Unleashing fury. Fuck you, leaf-litter. You got that beast cranking and everyone walking by crosses to the other side of the street. That is leafblower. – Paul Hansen

Har Mar Superstar

Har Mar Superstar started as a solo, modern pop R&B side-project for Sean Tillmann in 1999.  Hailing from the Twin Cities, Tillmann quickly gained notoriety worldwide for his boisterous, sweaty live shows.  He toured the world being championed by his peers The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gossip, Father John Misty, and The Faint among others who repeatedly selected him as a main support opening act.  It didn’t take long before Har Mar found his own audience, headlined countless international tours, added more band members, and kept his songwriting / sound ever-evolving.  Roseville is the 7th studio album by Har Mar Superstar.  Released in 2021, the latest collection of songs is career defining culmination of life and musical experiences that were heavily influenced by ‘70s AM gold artists, including Todd Rundgren, Elton John, Carole King, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Genesis, Hall and Oates, Meat Loaf, Dory Previn, and ELO.  The 3-piece Har Mar Superstar band is ready to hit the road for the first time since 2019.  They’ll be playing a career spanning set list including all eras of their original soul, R & B, pop, and electro jams.  Don’t miss the high energy fun!

GREEN JELLŸ

GREEN JELLŸ is a Grammy, Billboard & MTV award nominated Punk Rock Puppet band formed in 1981 by founder, vocalist & co-songwriter Punk Rock Pope BILL MANSPEAKER. ‘Three Little Pigs’ was a major worldwide hit with heavy rotation on MTV and The BOX. A theatrical, costume-heavy comedy rock band, Green Jelly found success in 1993 with their surprise Top 40 hit “Three Little Pigs” and its accompanying claymation video. The single appeared on their Billboard-charting sophomore LP Cereal Killer Soundtrack. Led by vocalist and sole constant member Bill Manspeaker, the band emerged in 1989 and went on hiatus after the release of 1994’s 333. They reconvened in 2009 with the original lineup and released Musick to Insult Your Intelligence By, and in 2021 they issued their fifth long-player, Garbage Band Kids. With success came lawsuits. After Kraft Foods took them to court for trademark infringement, the musicians were forced to change their name to Green Jelly. They also had to include an edited version of “Cereal Killer” on their audio release, as the cereal companies whose mascots were murdered in the video did not take kindly to it. The music industry still had faith in the group, though, and Green Jelly had little trouble convincing BMG to co-finance Green Jellÿ Studios, an audio and visual production house that opened its doors in 1994 on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. That same year, Green Jelly supplied the first-ever video game soundtrack for Spider-Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage, based on the Marvel Comics characters. The group released one last single in 1995, a version of Gary Glitter’s “I’m the Leader of the Gang (I Am)” with Hulk Hogan on vocals, before calling it quits. A decade passed before Green Jelly reunited in 2008. After touring the country and reissuing their 1993 opus Cereal Killer Soundtrack, the band released a new record, Musick to Insult Your Intelligence By, in 2009. Things remained relatively quiet on the Green Jelly front for the next several years. A new single, “Fr3tö F33t,” appeared in 2017, followed by a parody of the SpongeBob SquarePants theme, “Silence of the Sponge,” in 2019. Two years later they released Garbage Band Kids, their first studio LP in 12 years. https://greenjelly.bandcamp.com/   FROM THIS DAY FORWARD – melodic hardcore/metalcore from Omaha/Lincoln, NE https://www.instagram.com/fromthisdayforwardband

Escape From the Zoo

Escape From the ZooIt’s very rare to find music that makes you think, feel and want to mosh simultaneously, but with Countin’ Cards, Escape From The Zoo has struck the perfect balance between all three. It’s something that the band – the louder, faster, punk project that Days N’ Daze’s Jesse Sendejas co-founded with his wife Veronica – has always done, but never quite to this extent. Much of that is down to the circumstances that led up to the recording of these nine songs – most obviously a global pandemic that allowed for intense self-reflection. That was true for both Sendejas and We The Heathens’ Elliot Lozier, who recorded this album and played bass and drums on it. https://escapefromthezoo.bandcamp.com/   Hans Gruber & the Die Hards Hans Gruber and the Die Hards brand of punk/ska mashes genres together like a toddler eating chocolate cake – with messy intensity for maximum enjoyment. From Boston hardcore to Colombian cumbia, southern gospel to crossover thrash, their live shows are filled with pits, sock puppets, conga lines and confusion – if you are nihilistic enough to jump in feet first. https://hansgruberandthediehards.bandcamp.com/   The MorayFolk-Punk / Protest Folk / Riot Folk / Outlaw Music from Tacoma, WA. https://themoray.bandcamp.com/

Pons

Pons is a constantly changing/growing experimental project started by Sam Cameron and Jack Parker in North Carolina directly after we graduated high school in 2018. After releasing a couple of demos, playing some shows as a two piece, and relocating to Burlington, Vermont, we added our percussion player Sebastien Carnot to the live lineup in 2019. Our recorded music and live set are extremely different from each other in terms of arrangement and presentation of the songs, but most people describe our music as being no wave/noise rock adjacent. There are also a lot of influences from glam rock, tribal/percussion music, and psychedelic music as well. Pons is all about fighting expectations and striving for constant evolution. Trying to be on the road as much as possible is also definitely part of our M.O.
